Datasheet: Journeyed hotel facts and rankings: Los Angeles

Motivation
  Why: to give travellers, researchers and AI assistants sourced, dated answers to common hotel questions in Los Angeles, with every fact traceable to where it was read.
  Who: Journeyed.

Composition
  Los Angeles: 2610 hotels, 10421 sourced facts, 748 questions, 23849 ranking rows, 118 anchors.
  Each fact row is one value from one source. Two rows with the same place and key are two sources; the site shows the most recently checked one.
  Missing values mean we have not verified the fact, never that the hotel lacks the amenity.
  No personal data: the only phone numbers and websites are businesses' public contact details from the place record.

Collection
  Place records: Overture Maps Places 2026-09-23.1, filtered to lodging inside the market bounding box, deduplicated by entity resolution.
  Facts: read from each hotel's own website by our crawler, which identifies itself, obeys robots.txt and crawl-delay, waits between requests and stops at any block (https://journeyed.org/data/).
  Rankings: computed from the facts and distance with the published formula; sponsorship never changes a rank or a score.

Preprocessing
  Values are normalized for comparison (times as HH:MM, yes/no, fees as numbers with a unit). The address fact is omitted here because it is the normalized comparison form; hotels.csv has the display address.

Uses
  Suitable: answering where-to-stay questions with sources, travel research, evaluating AI answers against sourced facts.
  Not suitable: prices or availability (not included), guest satisfaction (no review data is included).
